Mechanical Drafter Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced draftsman to support our engineering and manufacturing teams with proficiency in SolidWorks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create accurate technical drawings using SolidWorks for parts, assemblies, and complete systems.
  • Interpret design specifications and related data to develop precise 3D models and 2D drawings.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
  • Manage and maintain project files on the SolidWorks server.
  • Apply appropriate GD&T standards and ensure compliance with industry drafting guidelines.
  • Organize drawing files and adhere to revision control procedures.
  • Support the development of technical documentation and assembly instructions.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in CAD, Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in roles requiring SolidWorks for 2D and 3D modeling.
  • High proficiency in solid modeling using SolidWorks, including assemblies, part modeling, and drawing generation.
  • Excellent file management skills, with the ability to maintain clear and systematic documentation.
  • Prior experience with mechanical structures is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with GD&T and industry standards such as ASME Y14.5.
