Job Description

We're seeking a talented and experienced leader to join our engineering team. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and coaching engineers while still being close enough to the codebase to guide technical direction.

You will drive architectural decisions, software design, and technical implementation alongside engineers. Your primary focus will be on managing multiple teams using current tools and improving agile practices.

Additionally, you will collaborate with product and business stakeholders to align priorities, resolve trade-offs, and deliver value. You will also create a culture of technical excellence, creativity, and accountability within the team.

Your responsibilities will include defining and updating objectives with the team, ensuring alignment with business goals. You will balance short-term delivery needs with long-term scalability and sustainability. You will recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent.

Finally, you will identify opportunities for innovation in process, tools, and technology. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a unique blend of technical and leadership skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5–7 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2–3 years in technical leadership or management roles.
  • A strong engineering background — proven track record in designing, developing, deploying, and scaling end-to-end software solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • A proven ability to operate in fast-paced environments and balance competing priorities. Strong mentoring and coaching skills; passionate about growing people and teams.
  • A highly creative individual able to challenge conventional approaches and drive innovative solutions. Ability to balance immediate delivery needs with long-term architecture and scalability.
  • Strong leadership skills and a sense of accountability.
