Plant Maintenance Engineering Manager Job Overview

This is a challenging and rewarding role that involves planning, coordinating, and executing plant maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering fields and relevant experience in plant or industrial maintenance roles.
  • They should be skilled in maintenance systems and AutoCAD software, with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • A bachelor's degree and certification such as CMRP are preferred but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Regularly inspecting and performing preventive maintenance on plant machinery to prevent issues from escalating.
  • Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure high equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Collaborating with production teams to plan and execute maintenance tasks with minimal operational disruption.
  • Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and equipment history.
  • Conducting root cause analysis on equipment failures and recommending corrective actions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
  • Relevant experience in plant or industrial maintenance roles.
  • Skilled in Maintenance systems and AutoCAD software.
  • Strong grasp of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
