Job Overview

The Accountant is a pivotal role in our organization, overseeing the financial operations of two business units. This position involves managing day-to-day accounting functions, conducting detailed financial analysis, and providing actionable insights to support both units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting:
    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
    • Develop and maintain budgets and financial forecasts; provide variance analysis and recommendations for corrective actions.
    • Create, automate, and improve comprehensive financial reports across functions to support strategic decision-making.
    • Deliver scheduled comprehensive updates and strategic recommendations based on financial records and analytical reports to ensure organizational financial hygiene, maximize profitability, and meet business objectives.
  • Accounting Operations:
    • Oversee daily accounting functions, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
    • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of transactions.
    • Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
    • Establish financial books, reports, and analysis systems while collaborating with management in financial planning for the startup agency, including financial modeling, cost analysis, and cash flow management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with other departments (e.g., operations, supply chain, HR, marketing) to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Utilize and enhance accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, ERP platforms) and Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets for efficient data analysis and reporting.
