Team Leader Technical - Stewart Island Power Station

This role presents an exceptional opportunity to lead a team of skilled professionals in maintaining the unique Stewart Island Power Station.

  • Key responsibilities include overseeing regular maintenance and monitoring of diesel generator sets, construction and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution networks, and upkeep of station buildings, street lighting, and metering.
  • Liaison with customers, including new connections, is also a critical aspect of this role.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, project planning expertise, and a proven track record of delivering results.

A National Certificate in Electrical Supply Level 4 or equivalent is required, along with a current EWRB electrical registration and practicing license. At least five years of recent experience in the electrical distribution industry is necessary.

  • Competent communicator with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Highly motivated individual with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Current Class 1 drivers license and working knowledge of industry safety regulations.
