Job Title: Industrial Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer to join our team in a key role within the folding carton packaging industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate costs for folding carton packaging projects, analyzing specifications and production capabilities to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with sales, production, and design teams to determine job scope and manufacturing requirements, ensuring seamless communication and project delivery.
  • Utilize historical data and supplier pricing to prepare competitive quotes, enabling us to stay ahead in the market.
  • Develop and maintain databases and estimate sheets in Excel, streamlining processes and enhancing data management.
  • Support customer inquiries with technical input and cost-related information, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Monitor costing performance to refine future estimates, driving continuous improvement and optimizing results.
  • Recommend cost-saving alternatives in materials or production processes when applicable, contributing to business growth and sustainability.


Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven estimating experience in folding carton packaging, with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of printing processes (offset printing, color matching, etc.), enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with expertise in data analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of tasks.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities, with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.


Desirable Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with packaging or print production software, enhancing familiarity with industry-specific tools and technologies.
  • Familiarity with structural design tools, offering an added layer of technical expertise and innovative thinking.
  • Background in packaging engineering or graphic production, bringing valuable insights and a deep understanding of the industry.
