Senior IT Auditor

We are seeking a seasoned IT auditor to join our team. As a senior IT auditor, you will play a key role in evaluating and improving internal controls, IT systems, and risk management processes.

About the Role

This position contributes to the development of audit strategies and leads or supports IT-focused audits to ensure the integrity and reliability of systems critical to financial reporting and business operations.

You will be responsible for developing internal audit methodologies and the annual audit plan. You will also plan, execute, and document IT audits in alignment with the audit plan or as requested by management or the Audit Committee.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Internal Audit Methodologies: Create and implement effective internal audit methodologies to assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Plan and Execute Audits: Plan, execute, and document IT audits to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhanced internal controls.
  • Evaluate Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting (ICFR): Evaluate ICFR controls, including IT process walkthroughs, control testing, and reporting.
  • Audit Documentation: Ensure complete, accurate, and supportive audit documentation.
  • Audit Workpapers and Reports: Prepare high-quality audit workpapers and formal reports detailing observations and recommendations.
  • Identify Control Weaknesses: Identify internal control weaknesses and follow up on remediation.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the audit lifecycle and communicate audit insights and actionable recommendations to management.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in public accounting or internal audit, preferably within a publicly traded company.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of IT systems, controls, and processes. Proficiency in auditing IT General Controls (ITGCs) and key reports supporting financial processes.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of internal control frameworks such as COSO and COBIT, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work.
