About this Opportunity

As a key team member, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie Butcher to join our galley team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on board one of our beautiful cruise ships, exploring exotic destinations while doing what you love. As a Chef de Partie Butcher, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality meat and seafood products, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation.

  • Supervise the preparation and presentation of meats and seafood dishes, adhering to recipes, portion control guidelines, and food safety protocols.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, and maintaining accurate records of stock levels.
  • Train and develop assigned staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork within the galley.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other chefs and department heads to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional guest experiences.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A formal qualification in Butchery from a recognized training institution (preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in large butchery operations, preferably in the cruise industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • A strong commitment to food safety, quality, and presentation.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
