Thumbtack is hiring for a Product Specialist to support Product Operations. This role focuses on triaging bugs, validating and analyzing user feedback, and driving product improvements to deliver a high-quality user experience.

Overview

The Product Operations team bridges users and product teams, bringing operational rigor and user advocacy to product development. You will develop a deep understanding of product functionality, business workflows, and user sentiment to help attract, engage, and retain users at every point in their Thumbtack journey.

Responsibilities
  • Stay well-versed in the Thumbtack product, including recent updates and new features, to effectively manage bugs and feedback.
  • Respond to product inquiries from internal customers across designated Slack and Salesforce/Tack channels with timely and accurate support.
  • Create and leverage data-driven insights to influence decisions and drive improvements within your function.
  • Share insights, offer solutions, and address potential challenges in team discussions.
  • Take ownership of key responsibilities such as managing reports, feedback reports, metrics, data analyses, and quality audits; use insights to improve KPIs, guidelines, and processes.
  • Address bugs and feedback with strong critical thinking; provide constructive feedback and collaborate with internal customers to resolve gaps.
  • Manage special projects, trackers, reports, and analyses, coordinating with stakeholders for timely delivery.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams (e.g., Eng, Enablement, Quality) to improve product performance and user experience.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining documentation or best practices related to product usage, bug resolution, and feedback management.
Qualifications
  • Strong research, navigation, and investigative skills with the ability to gather relevant information.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Coda, and Jira or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Forms, Sheets, Docs, Slides).
  • Team player with excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work on time-sensitive projects.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven with a focus on identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements.
  • Clear and effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
