We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of 2nd Commis Butcher on board one of our vessels.
This position requires at least one year of prior experience in a butchery environment and good knowledge of English. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of basic meat and fish preparation, presentation, and preservation, as well as understanding of Public Health and Sanitation regulations and procedures.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Developing skills in meat and fish products processing/production
- Practicing proper cutting and processing techniques for each product
- Learng the product range and executing production according to specifications
- Maintaining quality, quantity, size, and weight of butchered meats and seafood
- Packing and unpacking butchery products as instructed by the Chief Butcher or 1st Commis Butcher
