Financial Analyst for Lithium Extraction Company

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the accounting and finance organization, working closely with the Accounting Manager to prepare financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules. This involves being an integral contributor to the month-end close process, ensuring timely completion of tasks and maintaining high-quality standards.

The successful candidate will assist the Accounting Manager with consolidations, reviewing domestic and foreign subsidiary financials, eliminations, and financial statement reports in NetSuite for external reporting compliance. Additionally, they will help manage the Company's business travel and expense platform, Navan, by ensuring policy compliance and accurate coding of all transactions.

Key responsibilities include analyzing and providing flux commentary on monthly Balance Sheet and P&L account balances, assisting the billing department during month-end close, and helping ensure payments are processed timely and purchase order exceptions are resolved.

Other key duties include interacting cross-functionally with department managers (Finance, People, Legal, International) to support accounting team goals, contributing to the creation and maintenance of critical accounting policies, and executing the Company's annual financial statement audit by providing supporting documentation and responding promptly and accurately to audit team inquiries.

Required Skills:

BA/BS in Finance or Accounting; 2-4 years of General Ledger accounting experience including account reconciliation & analysis; proficient understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting; excellent communication (verbal/written) and organizational skills; flexibility and willingness to pitch in with assorted tasks as they arise.

  • Proficient with MS Office including Excel (vlookup/xlookup & pivot table) and Word
  • Willing to work Pacific Time Zone hours
