Job Title: Financial Controller

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented professional to support our growing construction company. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping experience, solid knowledge of Xero, and an understanding of the unique financial requirements of the construction industry.

About the Position

This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial records and smooth day-to-day accounting operations. The successful applicant will manage daily financial transactions, process invoices, reconcile bank accounts, and prepare financial reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily financial transactions using Xero.
  • Process invoices, receipts, supplier payments, and subcontractor claims.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and ledgers.
  • Prepare and lodge BAS, payroll, and superannuation contributions.
  • Track project expenses and assist with job costing.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Xero and related accounting tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting practices, GST, and BAS.
  • Experience in handling payroll and superannuation.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
