Optimize Supply Chain Operations

The Logistics and Supply Chain Manager will oversee and optimize all aspects of One Bed's supply chain operations, including inventory management, vendor sourcing and coordination, and freight and shipping logistics.

About the Role

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize the complete supply chain, from sourcing materials to final delivery to end consumer or business.
• Manage, track, and optimize the outbound logistics from supplier to warehouse daily to ensure timely delivery and avoid fines.
• Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.

ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain Strategy & Operations

• End-to-End Management: Develop and implement strategies to optimize the complete supply chain, from sourcing materials to final delivery to end consumer or business.
• Freight Management: Manage, track, and optimize the outbound logistics from supplier to warehouse daily to ensure timely delivery and avoid fines.
• Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
• Demand Forecasting & Planning: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and align procurement strategies accordingly.

Logistics & Inventory Management

• Inventory Oversight: Manage inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing holding costs.
• Purchasing: Create regular Purchase Orders using inventory planning software and in-house systems, following established criteria with transparent documentation of quantity determinations.
• Shipping & Distribution: Coordinate with shipping partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers across the US.
• Performance Monitoring: Implement OKRs to monitor supply chain health, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.

Vendor & Partner Relations

• Supplier Management: Establish, maintain, source, and negotiate strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, building relationships, and ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Shipping Partner Coordination: Work closely with logistics partners to resolve issues, optimize transit times, and enhance service levels.
• Travel: Travel to trade shows and suppliers as needed to source new suppliers, typically 1-3 times per year.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all supply chain activities comply with relevant US regulations and international standards.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to address disruptions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Liaise with management, operations, finance, and cross-functional teams to align supply chain initiatives with overall business strategy.

Process Improvement

• Utilize and, when necessary, enhance supply chain and inventory management systems (e.g., Inventory Planner, ERPs) and Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets for efficient data analysis and reporting.
• Identify, document, and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in supply chain operations.
• Stay educated (such as podcasts, industry publications, online media, social media) on industry trends to share, discuss, and implement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain and logistics management, preferably within the e-commerce or retail industry.
• Proven track record of managing warehouse operations, including in-house and/or third-party logistics.
• Proven track record in purchasing and optimizing inventory levels.
• Proven experience building and nurturing long-term supplier and vendor relationship stacks.
