Job Overview

You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth financial processes as the Director of Accounts Payable. This involves leading a team of AP professionals, overseeing all aspects of accounts payable from invoice processing to vendor payments.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategy for the Accounts Payable function, aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing AP team, fostering a culture of efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identify, prioritize, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of AP systems and technologies.
  • Establish strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Bilateral relationships with vendors are essential to ensure timely payments and resolve disputes.
  • Insightful reports and analysis on AP performance metrics must be developed and provided.
  • Collaboration with other departments is necessary to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in AP operations, including process improvement and system implementation.
  • Prior leadership experience is essential, particularly in building and developing teams.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and other accounting software is a necessity.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities are required.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is crucial.
  • This role requires a collaborative and adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
