Online Marketplace Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Online Marketplace Specialist to join our team. As an Online Marketplace Specialist, you will be responsible for listing optimization, platform expansion, and strategic adaptation of product descriptions to comply with marketplace rules.

This role is focused on creating, managing, and optimizing product listings across multiple e-commerce platforms including Shopify, eBay, Etsy, 1stDibs, Amazon, Facebook Marketplace, AptDeco, and others.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage, and optimize product listings (100+ items) across multiple e-commerce platforms.
  • Adapt product descriptions to meet marketplace restrictions using clever wording.
  • Maintain accurate inventory across all sales channels.
  • Research and recommend automation tools to streamline workflows.
  • Brainstorm strategies to target niche buyers such as home decorators and auction platforms.
  • Prepare and format auction submissions for LiveAuctioneers including organizing product details in required spreadsheet format, numbering and naming photos per LiveAuctioneers' specifications, and pulling and preparing images from Dropbox for upload.
  • Coordinate with the business owner for approvals and updates.
  • Monitor listing performance and provide regular reports.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in e-commerce listings or online marketplace management.
  • Strong written communication skills with ability to tailor descriptions for different platforms.
  • Familiarity with major e-commerce platforms including Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, eBay, 1stDibs, Facebook Marketplace, and AptDeco.
  • Knowledge of inventory management best practices.
  • Basic image editing skills preferably with Photoshop or Canva.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Experience creating auction listings and proficiency with LiveAuctioneers is required.
