Medical Outreach Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced medical outreach professional to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing and executing doctor outreach campaigns for clinical trial site activation.

  • Design and execute doctor outreach campaigns for clinical trial site activation
  • Research and filter doctors using various tools, including Google Search, NPI Registry, and Definitive Healthcare
  • Use clinical judgment and research skills to identify the right specialists and exclude poor fits
  • Build targeting frameworks using CPT, ICD-10, and claims logic
  • QA all lists before launch - ensure quality, specialty match, and targeting precision
  • Create SOPs and research playbooks to standardize repeatable outreach
  • Write and iterate outreach emails that drive replies
  • Manage outreach coordinator(s) - assign work, check quality, and coach improvement
  • Run email sequences in Mixmax or similar tools
  • Triage replies and hand off to the PM or Medical Director for NDA and qualification
  • Track outreach performance in Airtable or CRM

The ideal candidate has experience running high-context outreach campaigns in healthcare, clinical research, or healthtech. They should have a deep understanding of how doctors work and how referrals happen.

This is a systems-driven role that requires the ability to build playbooks, workflows, and logic trees. The successful candidate should be able to manage junior staff and get the best out of them. Excellent written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to write persuasive outreach copy.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Airtable, ChatGPT, Mixmax, and Google Sheets or lightweight CRMs
  • Ability to spot failure patterns early and fix them before they escalate
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving
