Job Title: IT Service Desk Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues and service requests
  • Demonstrate expertise in troubleshooting complex hardware, software, and networking problems with minimal user downtime
  • Support business-critical applications and systems, collaborating with external vendors when necessary
  • Mentor junior technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge base
  • Prioritize incidents to ensure timely resolution within agreed SLAs
  • Contribute to team growth by leading workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions on technical topics
  • Identify recurring issues and collaborate with advanced teams to develop permanent fixes
  • Participate in service review meetings to suggest enhancements for improved service desk performance
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive IT documentation, standard operating procedures, and runbooks
  • Contribute to infrastructure upgrades, deployments, and security initiatives
  • Assist in change management processes by assessing technical impact and providing risk mitigation strategies
  • Participate in what-if analysis for proposed network or system changes
  • Remediate risks within planned changes or existing infrastructure
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT service desk or technical support, including at least 1 year in a senior/escalation role
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills across Windows, macOS, and Microsoft 365 environments
  • In-depth understanding of networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, firewalls)
  • Proficiency in Active Directory, group policy management, and endpoint security tools
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple incidents simultaneously
