Job Overview

We seek a senior assurance professional to join our team, offering exceptional services to our partners. Our mission is to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture where all talents are valued and developed.

The selected candidate will serve as a senior assurance professional on engagements through all phases of the audit process with minimal supervision, in various industries, including manufacturing, oil and gas, professional services, healthcare, governmental, wholesale/distribution, financial institutions, and nonprofit entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the firm's core values and service standards.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of financial statement issues utilizing electronic sources and software.
  • Contribute to the assurance workflow by identifying, analyzing, and articulating problems and opportunities and proposing solutions to client issues.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of company operations to assess internal controls and provide value-added business process solutions to client management.
  • Effectively communicate timely results internally and externally on project and client information.
  • Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients.
  • Carry moderately complex tasks through to completion.
  • Supervise and coach staff and interns on detailed engagements for moderately complex to less complex clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant computer software applications and use them efficiently to promote time-saving.
  • Review and work within established billing constraints to understand job performance economics.
  • Attend Level 3, 4, and 5 assurance training sessions.
  • Participate in professional and business organizations as requested.
  • Support Firm recruiting efforts through participation in staff recruiting activities and events.

Expected chargeable time: 1,600 hours within a 2,250 hour year.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university.
  • Compliance with the 150 hour rule and/or a certified public accountant certification.
  • Two to four years recent public accounting experience.
  • Understanding of generally accepted auditing standards, GAAP, and industry-specific rules.
  • Experience with paperless auditing applications preferred.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong research, organizational, computer, and analytical skills needed.
  • A desire to provide exceptional client service with the highest level of integrity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet budget and time deadlines.
