Senior Open Source Project Lead

This challenging role involves driving the design and architecture of impactful open source projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record, excellent leadership skills, and experience in programming languages such as Golang, Rust, Python, C/C++, or Typescript/React.
The successful candidate will collaborate with a globally distributed team, mentor colleagues, and contribute to technical documentation. They will also be responsible for debugging issues, producing high-quality code, and working from home with occasional global travel for company events.
We are looking for individuals with drive, exceptional communication skills, and a focus on performance. Experience with container technologies, highly concurrent systems, and software security is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:- Leading design and architecture of an impactful open source project
- Coding in Golang, Rust, Python, C/C++ or Typescript/React
- Collaborating proactively with a globally distributed team
- Mentoring, developing and advising colleagues in their career progression
- Displaying technical leadership in our community
- Debugging issues and producing high-quality code to fix them
- Contributing to technical documentation with the aim of making it the best of its kind
- Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about your alternative path
- Drive and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations
- Technical leadership as well as team motivation, direction and pace
- Deep experience with at least one of Go, Rust, Python or C
