IT Engineer Role

The position entails supporting and maintaining a hybrid IT environment incorporating both on-premises Windows infrastructure and cloud-based Azure resources.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Manage and administer Windows Server environments, including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file services.
  2. Maintain Active Directory services, encompassing user accounts, groups, OUs, and domain controllers.
  3. Monitor and troubleshoot Windows Server performance and system issues.
  4. Execute Windows Server patching, updates, and maintenance procedures.
  5. Manage backup and recovery operations for Windows Server environments.
  6. Administer VMware virtualization infrastructure and virtual machine lifecycle.
  7. Manage and monitor Azure resources, such as VMs and storage accounts.
  8. Assist in deploying Azure services utilizing the Azure Portal, CLI, Infrastructure as Code, and PowerShell.
  9. Monitor performance of VM servers.
  10. Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of infrastructure issues.
  11. Oversee Azure resource costs and maintain organizational standards.
  12. Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation.
  13. Execute cloud migration projects and strategies.
Required Skills
  1. At least 3 years of experience in Windows Server administration (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file services).
  2. Extensive hands-on experience with Active Directory management (users, groups, OUs, domain controllers).
  3. Proficiency with Microsoft Azure administration and services.
  4. Experience with VMware virtualization platforms (vSphere, vCenter).
  5. Scripting capabilities for automation and administrative tasks, with PowerShell preferred.
  6. Understanding of Windows Server roles and features (IIS, Print Services, Remote Desktop Services).
  7. Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures for Windows environments.
  8. Experience with Windows Server patching and update management.
  9. Understanding of RBAC and security permissions in Windows environments.
  10. Familiarity with Azure Portal, Azure CLI, and management tools.
  11. Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor or Log Analytics.
  12. Working knowledge of virtual machines, disks, snapshots, and backup strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience with Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure platforms.
  2. Knowledge of Azure Migrate and Azure Site Recovery (ASR) for migration projects.
  3. Knowledge of Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines.
  4. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  5. Understanding of Azure networking components (VNets, NSGs, load balancers, etc.).
  6. Familiarity with hybrid cloud and on-premises integrations (Azure Arc, Site-to-Site VPN).
  7. Azure Administrator Associate certification (AZ-104) or equivalent.
  8. Experience with additional scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
  9. Basic understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Container Instances).
  10. Advanced Windows Server administration and troubleshooting skills.
