Job Description

As a System Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing cloud-based infrastructure solutions for our organization.

You will be responsible for managing and planning the implementation of projects, providing day-to-day technology support, and ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud-based systems.

Key responsibilities include evaluating feasibility, conducting technical investigations, pilot projects, proof of concepts, training, and knowledge transfer to and from other support teams.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud-based solutions.

Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential risks, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures, and maintaining accurate records of system changes.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent experience in AWS Cloud Engineering, Architecture, or Infrastructure in a Systems Admin or DevOps role.
  • Proficiency in Unix and Windows administration, ITIL best practices, incident management, service requests, and change management.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, and Terraform.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS and Azure, troubleshooting cloud environments, and experience with virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with AWS services including EC2, ECS, Fargate, Route53, CloudWatch, API Gateway, Lambda, AWS databases, and networking.
  • Experience in web hosting (IIS, Apache Tomcat), Java and .NET application support, and scripting in Shell, PowerShell, Bash, Java, or Python.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, load balancers, and database technologies.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, and service management processes.
