Strategic Release Manager Position

The strategic release manager oversees the quality delivery of all release functions. This position will define a release strategy, ensuring seamless coordination across teams, and driving operational excellence in the planning, scheduling, and delivery of software and system releases.

This role requires close collaboration with executive leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure that all releases meet business goals and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release pipelines, as well as expertise in coordinating cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Manage and optimize the release management process, ensuring timely and high-quality software releases.
  • Coordinate across teams, including development, testing, and operations, to streamline release cycles.
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all releases, including emergency fixes.
  • Develop and maintain release documentation, including plans, notes, and risk assessments.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges in the release pipeline.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Establish governance frameworks for release planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members involved in the release process.
