Job Overview

We are seeking a Compliance Specialist to spearhead our organization's compliance efforts, ensuring we maintain the highest standards of regulatory adherence.

This multifaceted position involves developing and executing a comprehensive compliance strategy, preparing for and coordinating external audits, and guaranteeing all contractual and regulatory obligations are consistently fulfilled.

The Role of the Compliance Specialist
  • Oversight of compliance policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Collaboration with auditors to ensure evidence collection on time.
  • Vendor risk management and compliance clause enforcement.
  • Regulatory monitoring and internal policy updates.
  • Leadership of cross-department coordination for compliance initiatives.
  • Reporting compliance status to executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a compliance strategy aligned with industry best practices.
  • Serve as Data Protection Officer for GDPR and oversee HIPAA privacy requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory frameworks and changes.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure seamless compliance execution.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and recommend mitigating actions.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, IT, Business, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 3+ years in compliance, audit, privacy, or information security.
  • Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR frameworks.
  • Relevant security certifications such as Security+, CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with compliance automation tools preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to influence across departments.
  • Capable of handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
