Job Title: Sales Manager

At Salient Pearl Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Manager to join our team. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading our new-vehicle sales department and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Forecasts sales goals and objectives on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Hires, trains, and motivates sales employees to achieve sales targets.
  • Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the new-vehicle sales department.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations affecting new-vehicle sales.
  • Directs and schedules the activities of sales employees to ensure proper staffing.
  • Assists salespeople in setting realistic sales goals and provides support to meet these goals.
  • Maintains an accurate daily log of sales activities.
  • Develops and implements a prospecting and sales control system to ensure follow-up of potential buyers.
  • Develops and implements a follow-up system for new-vehicle purchasers.
  • Maintains teamwork in a customer-focused sales environment.
  • Conducts daily and weekly sales meetings.
  • Provides effective communication throughout the new-vehicle department and interdepartmentally.
  • Ensures salespeople understand and follow dealership policies and procedures.
  • Provides product and training resources for salespeople on a regular basis.
  • Oversees sales efforts to enhance the image and customer satisfaction ratings of the dealership.
  • Works with salespeople on programs to increase new-car gross and F&I penetration.
  • Develops incentive programs with the dealer and other managers.
  • Helps salespeople close deals when necessary.
  • Completes deal settlement sheets and turns them into the accounting office in a timely manner.
  • Establishes and maintains standards for vehicle delivery to customers.
  • Schedules first service appointments at the time of delivery.
  • Provides the dealer with accurate floor traffic control data daily.
  • Processes salesperson commission sheets and monitors payroll records.
  • Reviews inventory daily to ensure the proper mix of grounded stock for maximum turnover efficiency.
  • Recommends new-car inventory to be carried by color, model, and equipment based on customer and market analyses.
  • Assists the used-vehicle department with trade appraisals as needed.
  • Directs merchandising and advertising efforts for the new-vehicle department.
  • Assists in the development of advertising campaigns and other promotions.
  • Attends managers meetings as requested.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any 4-year course.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a Sales Manager in a car dealership.
