Accounting and Financial Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Officer to join our team in a full-time, long-term employment capacity.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in financial analysis, identifying trends, and preparing reports to support decision-making. Additionally, they will participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing accurate and timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports to support business decisions.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Accurately maintain and update books of accounts (Journal, Ledger).
  • Collect daily, weekly, and monthly employee timesheets.
  • Calculate employee work hours.
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding of employees.
  • Use quality monitoring data management systems to compile and track performance at the team and individual levels.
  • Enter new employee data into the company's database.
  • Work closely with the HR Manager to collect data necessary for performance management and improvement systems and programs.
  • Participate in regulatory compliance and reporting.
  • Contribute to policy development and documentation.
  • Enhance company-employee communication through effective policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to and assist in facilitating employee safety, welfare, and wellness education programs.
  • Monitor formats and quality standards.
  • Respond to employee questions about compensation, benefits, and deductions.
  • Distribute payment statements.
  • Attend meetings with top-level executives to discuss financial matters.
  • Communicate and transact with various providers to optimize financial processes.
  • Actively source vendors to automate financial-related processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6 months to 1 year of accounting-related experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Payroll Accountant.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Experience processing employee salaries.
  • Familiarity with labor laws.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and able to execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong ability to adapt to change and set priorities as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
