Job Description

This is a senior-level role responsible for overseeing financial operations within an organization. The Financial Operations Lead serves as a key member of the accounting team and plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth functioning of financial processes.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. They must also possess a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial controls.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing month-end closing duties, including creating journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Preparing internal financial reports and assisting in variance analysis and commentary on financial trends and results.
  • Reconciling all balance sheet accounts and ensuring resolution of discrepancies.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax forms.
  • Preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation for external audits.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA certification or active progress toward CPA is a plus.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, with hands-on experience in month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial controls.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
