Job Overview

The Manager of Business Development is responsible for leading a team of business development representatives and providing strategic leadership to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enable the business development team to exceed quarterly and annual targets for new business pipeline generation.
  • Expand the business development team using a foundational plan.
  • Support business development representatives through onboarding, ramp up, and ongoing coaching and development to ensure consistent goal attainment.
  • Understand Cofense's technology stack to support the business development team with lead follow-up and proactive outreach.
  • Conduct weekly 1:1 review meetings and hold daily team 'huddles' to share best practices.
  • Coach direct reports on strategies to increase conversion rates and create more pipeline.
  • Build strong relationships with marketing, sales operations, recruitment, and HR teams.
  • Maintain alignment with the field sales team by attending weekly sales meetings.
  • Consistently monitor the team's performance against key KPIs and drive the team forward to exceed expectations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrable understanding of the business development role.
  • Expertise in coaching and leading business development teams to success.
  • Ability to accurately report and provide regular metrics on key activity.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks to successful completion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of information security concepts and industry landscape.
