Job Summary

The role oversees the strategic direction and decision-making for Quality Assurance department operations across plants and toll manufacturing facilities, ensuring departmental objectives, regulatory compliance, customer standards adherence.


This position advises management on external and internal issues impacting food safety, quality, business profitability, enabling informed decision-making in areas where quality and food safety are critical.


Maintaining a highly competent QA team is crucial by implementing technical professional development programs, conducting proficiency testing, enhancing roles through HR initiatives.


The position is also responsible for planning, providing input reviewing proposals for continuous improvement programs (CIP), overseeing asset acquisition, equipment capital investments including inspection plans for products processes across production storage distribution.



Key Responsibilities
  • Provides strategic direction overall Quality Assurance Control system processed meats manufacturing spice production logistics operations – from raw material testing in-process verification inbound outbound logistics final product evaluation.
  • Develops strategic plans company's compliance with statutory regulatory certification company customer stakeholder requirements.
  • Leads organization regarding activities matters Customer Care System proper handling feedback resolution/closure product complaints customer satisfaction.
  • Provides strategic direction design management operation QA laboratory facility design analytical capability manpower skills training proficiency testing.
  • Liaison Government Stakeholders external parties clients.
  • Monitors operating costs ensure department working approved budget delivering quality results.


Required Skills Qualifications
  • College Graduate Food Science Chemistry Engineering related course preferably licensed profession.
  • 10 years total Quality Assurance experience minimum 5 years QA Manager meat processing plant related industry.
  • Food Safety Certification required.
  • Extensive knowledge food safety hazard identification risk assessment PRP implementation monitoring evaluation.
  • Advanced understanding Management Systems QMS Food Safety ISO HACCP etc.
  • Laboratory Management system expertise.
  • Experience supervising/managing chemical microbiological laboratories.
  • Strong management stakeholder management skills.
