About the Role:

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced FileMaker solutions to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  • Implement new features and functionality based on business requirements using FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Server.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to minimize downtime.
  • Integrate FileMaker with external data sources and systems using SQL.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, user-friendly solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with best practices in design, coding, and security for FileMaker systems.
  • Document workflows, code changes, and system updates for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience working with FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Server, including advanced scripting, calculation, and layout design.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for database integration and management.
  • In-depth understanding of relational database design principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (desired).
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, diverse team environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Experience integrating FileMaker with APIs or other third-party services.
  • Knowledge of FileMaker Go and WebDirect.
  • Familiarity with data migration and ETL processes.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and networking to support FileMaker Server deployment and maintenance.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and improving existing systems.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to communicate complex technical information to users.

Important Details:

  • Must be willing to work US hours.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • This position will be a full-time Independent Contractor role (2-year contract with the possibility of extension based on company needs).
