Job Title Researcher

As a Land Title Investigator, your primary responsibility is to complete various title tasks in an efficient manner and to deliver accurate results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on vesting titles, surface titles, or mineral titles using online resources and production history when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Field Agents to ensure that necessary research is completed to cover gaps, Probates, District Clerk, etc.
  • Examine documents provided by Field Agents and enter required data into reports using CityVerse or client-provided software.
  • Prepare flowcharts, Plats & Deed Plots, and review other agents' work for accuracy.
  • Deliver final reports to clients in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with others as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Follow specific instructions regarding CityVerse and other software.
  • Perform title obligations in accordance with title protocol directions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and QualificationsMust-Have
  • Bachelor's degree in History, Political Science, Research, or related field preferred.
  • Strong background in conducting extensive research and keen attention to detail required.
  • Ability to access online records, review documents, and complete a chain of titles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat Pro for creating and organizing ownership timelines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate fully as a team player.
  • Attention to details, good planning, organization, time management skills required.
  • Team environment, willingness to assume additional new responsibilities readily.
  • Maintain regular attendance per work schedule agreed with manager.
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies and procedures.
Nice-to-Have
  • Knowledgeable in Oil, Gas, Mineral, Surface Title requisites in states Percheron operates.
  • Background working U.S.-based companies, particularly Oil, Gas industry valued.
  • Experience as a Title Agent, land title research plus.
