Job Description

As a part-time software developer, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining our software systems. You will ensure they operate efficiently and effectively to support our professional services.

This is a remote position that allows you to work from a comfortable location, free from the constraints of a daily commute.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain web applications.
  • Design, develop, and deploy server-side code using programming languages such as Python and Node.js.
  • Design and implement database schemas, queries, and interactions with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed for functionality and data exchange.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to industry best practices and standards.
  • Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and maintain high code quality standards.
  • Implement security and data protection measures to safeguard user information and business data.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure smooth operation of web applications.
  • Participate in Agile development practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Adaptability to work within Eastern Standard Time (EST) for efficient collaboration.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Node.js.
  • Strong understanding of database management systems and RESTful API design.
  • Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience or familiarity with Zoho and Zoho Deluge is preferred.
  • Experience with cloud services is a plus.
