Job Title: Specialist Software Developer

We are seeking talented software professionals to join our team and work on high-impact projects that involve designing and maintaining specialist tools.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain complex Python applications, focusing on tooling for the developer build and publication process.

Snapcraft enables developers to deliver app updates to millions of Linux systems automatically, while Charmcraft enables collaboration between charmed operator developers and publication on Charmhub.

Rockcraft provides the means for container developers to build production-grade Ubuntu-based container images, called Rocks, which can be found in various popular container registries.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python, a strong understanding of the makeup of a modern GNU/Linux distribution, and good knowledge of build systems and toolchains.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and improve specialist Python tools.
  • Collaborate with external open source and commercial projects.
