Our company is seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team.

To ensure seamless financial operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for corresponding with customers regarding payments, issuing invoices, processing credit memos, and maintaining organized financial records. This will enable accurate reporting and calculation of bill totals by reviewing previous financial statements. Additionally, they will record and maintain a business's financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, and payments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • General Bookkeeping Tasks
  • Maintain and balance the general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
  • Process vendors' and customers' invoices in Quickbooks – source external provider websites.
  • Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts and posting transactions and PDF attachments to Quickbooks.
  • Conduct reconciliation of accounts and bank reconciliation.
  • Perform activities related to accounts payable, including reviewing, coding, and processing payments.
  • Perform accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition.
  • Submit and reconcile expense reports.
  • Month-end adjusting entries for accruals/prepayments.
  • Create Amortization Schedule.
  • Maintain daily task report.
  • Monthly end adjusting of journal entries.
  • Comparative analysis of income and balance sheet.
  • Produce and prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents and reports.
  • Ensure assigned tasks are completed within a specified timeframe and with minimal errors and/or omissions.
  • Audit invoicing and payment activities for accuracy and completeness.
  • Create tax data collection systems and maintain the corporate tax database.
  • Complete required tax reporting promptly.
  • Prepare and update tax provision schedules.
  • Digitize accounting paperwork and maintain organized records.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Knowledge and proficiency in automated financial and accounting reporting systems such as Quickbooks, Sage 50, ERP, and SAP.
  • Solid understanding of the full accounting cycle, reconciliation, and audit.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and Word).
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle numerous deadlines.
  • Highly organized, able to multitask, and work independently.
  • Ability to communicate information clearly with all levels of the organization.
  • Good English communication skills – oral and written.
  • Work From Home ready – a Desktop with 2 monitors is needed.

Education and Experience

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accounting/Finance or any related degree; CPA designation is a plus.
  • Proven 3+ years of previous work experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping – BPO experience is a plus but not required.
  • Solid background in Accounting Operations, Corporate Accountant – is a plus.
