Financial Management Opportunity

As a key member of our corporate team, you will be instrumental in shaping our finance department and building key processes that support our company's rapid growth.

This role is completely remote, offering you the flexibility to work from home. You'll collaborate closely with our leadership team to provide critical financial insights that drive our business forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the financial accounting function: Take full ownership of our end-to-end general ledger processes, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee key financial activities: Lead monthly project costing, departmental reporting, and manage all R&D tax rebate submissions.
  • Enhance our financial systems: Drive continuous improvement of our financial policies and procedures, ensuring our systems are efficient, accurate, and scalable.
  • Manage external relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and consultants, ensuring all financial reporting is accurate and timely.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Highly capable and experienced finance professional with a strong background supporting Australian businesses.
  • Bachelor degree in commerce and/or accounting and CPA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Existing Financial Controller or Finance Manager with 10+ years experience supporting an Australian based business (preferably with operations internationally).
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian payroll and GST legislation.
  • Proven experience managing offshore teams and building relationships with stakeholders across a business, along with the management of external auditors and tax consultants.
  • Experience/comfortable working in a fast moving start-up / scale-up environment.
