Job Overview

The key finance professional will oversee financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning. This role is crucial in managing finances, analyzing data, and supporting business decisions to drive profitability and efficiency.

Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models by identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Analyze financial performance, including cash flow management, investments, banking relationships, and funding arrangements.
Accounting and Reporting
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Compliance and Audit
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and financial reviews.
Team Management
  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams to develop skills and improve departmental efficiency.
Strategic Financial Support
  • Provide insights to senior management for strategic decision-making, evaluating financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.

Requires 5+ years in bookkeeping/accounting, 2+ years in budgeting and projections, a proven track record in managerial or controller positions, and strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks online, Quickbooks desktop) and advanced Excel is required, along with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
