Job Title:

Financial Strategist

A highly experienced and accomplished financial strategist is required to oversee all aspects of our financial operations, drive business growth, and lead our leadership team in achieving ambitious goals.


About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional candidate with a strong background in accounting, finance, and strategic planning. The ideal person will have extensive experience in managing financial operations, leading cross-functional teams, and driving business growth through data-driven insights and recommendations.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Management & Analysis
  • Oversee all aspects of financial operations including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Payroll management
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes with accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial statements, management reports, and board-level presentations
  • Develop and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy
Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to executive leadership
  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and performance metrics
  • Develop sophisticated financial models and pro forma analyses for business initiatives, product launches, and strategic investments
  • Conduct profitability analysis by product line, customer segment, and business unit
Process Improvement & Optimization
  • Ensure seamless integration of inventory management, e-commerce platforms, and payment systems with the general ledger
  • Lead ERP system optimization and financial system implementations
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial dashboards
Leadership & Development
  • Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering professional growth and development
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, marketing, and executive teams
  • Provide financial training and support to non-finance departments

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification strongly preferred
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
  • At least 3-5 years in a Controller or senior financial management role
  • Experience in e-commerce, retail, or inventory-based businesses strongly preferred
  • Public accounting experience with Big 4 or mid-tier firms is a plus

Skills & Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in Excel, Google Sheets, and financial modeling, as well as proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, SAP, etc.). Strong understanding of business intelligence and reporting tools is also essential.
