Job Overview

This role involves overseeing the establishment of legal and compliance functions at an offshore center, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory adherence, and strategic alignment with US headquarters.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the setup and management of legal and compliance teams, providing broad counsel on contracts, policies, and regulations, and ensuring compliance with US federal and state healthcare requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and manage legal and compliance functions within the offshore center.
  • Provide comprehensive legal guidance on contractual matters, policy development, and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as the company's Manila Data Privacy Officer (DPO).
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and development of legal and compliance teams.
  • Collaborate with US-based leadership to align offshore strategies with business objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to US healthcare regulations and payer requirements.
  • Drive process efficiency, compliance reporting, and KPI-driven performance.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and license to practice law.
  • 8+ years of experience in legal or healthcare compliance leadership roles.
  • Deep understanding of US healthcare systems, regulations, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to build and manage high-performing offshore teams.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

This role requires a highly experienced professional with a strong grasp of US healthcare law and compliance frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and leading successful teams in offshore environments.
