A sought-after engineering role in Linux-based infrastructure and applications is available. The Software Engineer will work on all layers of the stack, including bare metal, virtualization, containerization, storage, networking, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and open source applications.

  • Resolve complex customer problems related to Ubuntu, Kernel, Ceph, OpenStack, or Kubernetes and other open source software
  • Maintain close working relationships with Field, Support, and product engineering teams
  • Participate in upstream communities
  • Develop bug fixes, backport patches, and collaborate with upstream for inclusion
  • Review code produced by other engineers
  • Exercise good judgment in technical methods and techniques
  • Prioritize work and manage time effectively against priorities
  • Contribute to team discussions to improve processes, tools, and documentation
  • Communicate technical information clearly and concisely
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Exceptional academic record
  • Background in Computer Science or STEM field
  • Experience with Linux and open source software
  • Experience with at least one of Python, Go, C, or C++ on Linux
  • Drive to learn unfamiliar technology and dive into difficult issues
