Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to spearhead revenue recording processes, reconcile transactions, and oversee revenue recognition procedures.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, preferably focusing on revenue accounting, and possess a solid understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and manage revenue recording process for self-service transactions
  • Monitor and respond to customer inquiries on a daily basis
  • Assess revenue accounting impact on non-standard contracts
  • Maintain integrations between various systems, including Stripe, NetSuite, Salesforce, Avalara, and Hex
  • Perform reconciliations of revenue accounts during month-end close
  • Oversee sales tax-related activities, including payment reconciliation, accrual JE posting, and reviewing returns

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a remote environment as part of a collaborative team
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably revenue accounting
  • Basic knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take ownership, multitask, and solve complex problems effectively
  • Proficiency in Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with billing or quoting systems, such as Salesforce or Stripe, and ERP systems like NetSuite
  • Familiarity with SQL scripting
