This full-time role involves overseeing daily vessel operations, managing the deck crew, ensuring maritime regulation compliance, and guaranteeing safety and security for the vessel and its crew.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise day-to-day vessel operations, prioritize tasks, and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Manage a team of skilled deck officers to achieve shared goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of maritime regulations and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate navigation, cargo handling, and record-keeping activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong leadership and management skills with experience in maritime navigation and operational oversight.
  • Proficiency in maritime regulations and safety procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Certification and licensing commensurate with the Chief Officer position.
  • Prior relevant maritime experience is preferred but not essential.
