Role Overview:
The Senior Manager is responsible for leading the utilization management team to drive performance improvements in cost, patient experience and outcomes. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills to work closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor actual performance against targets by analyzing data diagnostics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and execute a team plan that aligns with business objectives, working collaboratively with Project Leads to deliver innovative solutions.
- Oversee post-implementation activities to ensure continued improvement in utilization management initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior management and project leads to define and manage project scope, strategy and requirements, emphasizing integrated strategic solutions driven by data insights.
- Provide actionable analysis and insights to inform decision-making and drive business outcomes.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive business results.
- Lead effective meetings and sessions to brainstorm solutions, document options and present recommendations.
- Identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
- Recommend strategic actions to management to optimize utilization management of products and services.
- Proactively engage with internal and external partners to build productive working relationships and drive business outcomes.
- Present findings and facilitate decision-making through effective communication and presentation skills.
- Critically evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile data and communicate complex ideas effectively to stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, new products and services affecting the assigned business and industry.
- Develop and deliver clear, concise presentations to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Lead people and team management, including task assignments, accountability, coaching, mentoring, employee reviews and project timelines.
