Incident Manager Role

Safeguarding mission-critical systems and ensuring seamless operations is the core responsibility of this leadership role. The Incident Manager will serve as the central point of contact for managing major incidents, leading high-pressure recovery efforts across cross-functional teams.

This position requires excellent leadership skills to ensure rapid restoration of services, clear communication with stakeholders, and continuous improvement of incident management processes.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of ITIL practices and a proven track record of handling critical incidents in enterprise environments.

  • Act as the primary escalation point for major/critical incidents, ensuring rapid classification and response.
  • Lead real-time recovery efforts, including war room management and coordination across technical and support teams.
  • Ensure timely and transparent communication through internal updates, executive alerts, and incident status reporting.
  • Conduct detailed post-incident reviews, prepare incident reports, and initiate problem management when applicable.
  • Identify trends and root causes to drive proactive incident reduction and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of IT Service Management experience, with at least 3 years in Incident Management.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL practices, with a proven track record of handling critical incidents in enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in incident tracking tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to stay composed under pressure.
  • Effective stakeholder management, especially in time-sensitive, high-impact situations.
