Healthcare Virtual Assistant Job Description

We are seeking organized and dedicated professionals to service our network of businesses worldwide.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Record patient admission and referral details in a timely manner.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling for patients and healthcare providers.
  • Enter patient data, medical records (including CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes), and billing information into electronic health record systems.
  • Assist with processing insurance claims, verifying patient insurance details, and handling billing inquiries.
  • Address patient inquiries, offering assistance and guiding them to the appropriate healthcare provider.
  • Compile and analyze healthcare data, maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations, uphold patient confidentiality, and maintain privacy standards.
  • Arrange for the transfer of medical records as instructed by managing physicians.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a medical field or related pharmaceutical industry.
  • Minimum one year experience as a virtual medical assistant.
  • Exceptional English communication skills, reaching at least C1 proficiency.
  • Thorough comprehension of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Proficiency in navigating electronic health record systems and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Knowledgeable about healthcare privacy regulations and policies.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and organizational skills.
  • Technologically adept, familiar with contemporary tools.
