Business Development Managers play a pivotal role in driving company growth by establishing and nurturing relationships with business partners.
To be successful, they must possess strong communication skills, the ability to think critically, and a proven track record in business development or sales. Experience in recruitment or HR services is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leads Generation: Conduct market research, represent the organization at networking events, and create new sales leads to develop and build business opportunities.
- Business Opportunity Progression: Engage with clients to understand their needs and design service solutions to address these requirements. Effective communication and presentation skills are essential for articulating workforce solutions and generating sales opportunities.
- Closing Opportunities (Contracting): Resolve client concerns and challenges to close deals and contracts. Familiarity with operational requirements and basic legal considerations is necessary to affirm client apprehension for contract closure.
- Sales Pipeline Documentation and Reporting: Document potential leads and business opportunities in CRM tools and regularly report pipeline health and sales-related metrics to senior management.
- Client Engagement and Account Management: Establish productive relationships with clients, maintain timely communication, and proactively resolve issues prior to escalation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven track record in business development or sales
- Strong understanding of staffing, RPO, or talent acquisition models
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- CRM/ATS experience is a plus
