Job Title: Performance Test Engineer

The Role: The Performance Test Engineer is responsible for implementing non-functional test strategies to execute performance and reliability testing. This individual ensures that non-functional testing capabilities are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the performance assurance of IT systems by conducting non-functional test requirement analysis, planning, scenario design, KPI definition, and test case development.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to ensure non-functional requirements are clearly defined, measurable, and testable.
  • Execute non-functional testing strategies across complex delivery programs and projects, covering both cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Perform system performance bottleneck analysis, recommend tuning strategies, and assist in performance optimization efforts.
  • Prepare comprehensive non-functional test reports and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
  • Continuously enhance the non-functional testing framework and documentation to align with evolving development needs.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement new non-functional testing technologies and tools to improve testing quality and efficiency.
  • Build and maintain a robust non-functional testing platform and toolset.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence in digital delivery while ensuring compliance with professional standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in performance testing and non-functional testing in enterprise environments.
  • Strong proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, K6, and other industry-standard tools.
  • Solid understanding of performance testing methodologies, including load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing.
  • Experience with API testing and backend service validation under various load conditions.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and on-premise infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify performance bottlenecks and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Experience in test management, including planning, prioritization, and execution of non-functional testing activities.
