Job Overview

As a seasoned financial professional, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our company's financial records. Your expertise in accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel will help streamline our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely posting of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations and closing processes to ensure compliance with local and international financial reporting standards.
  • Prepare financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other reports as required by management.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, and other general ledger accounts to prevent discrepancies.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to aid decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements and handle audits efficiently.
  • Work closely with external auditors, tax authorities, and other third parties as needed to maintain a smooth working relationship.
  • Provide financial insights and support to the management team to inform strategic decisions.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes and internal controls to maintain efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has a Certified Public Accountant qualification, at least 5 years of experience in General Ledger accounting, and proven expertise in Xero accounting software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for this role, as is excellent communication and teamwork ability.
