Senior Financial Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Manager to lead our financial operations.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    Financial Operations & Compliance: Manage payroll, superannuation and ensure timely settlement of tax liabilities. Oversee bill approvals and tax obligations.

    Receivables & Invoicing: Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on payments and ensure accurate invoicing.

    Expense Monitoring & Financial Oversight: Track spending, adhere to budgets, investigate transactions and oversee cash flow and liabilities.

    Bookkeeping Support & Coordination: Provide transaction data to bookkeepers, ensure account reconciliation and respond to financial inquiries.

    Reporting & Communication: Prepare financial reports for stakeholders, assist auditors and provide financial insights for decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification;
  • 5+ years in a senior financial role, preferably in non-profit or community organizations;
  • Strong knowledge of Australian financial regulations, ASIC and ACNC frameworks;
  • Experience in financial planning, analysis, reporting and policy development;
  • Proficiency in Xero, MS Excel/Google Sheets and ideally Salesforce;
  • Leadership skills, results-driven and team-building abilities;
  • High ethics and integrity, committed to the organization's mission;
  • Reliable, accountable and capable of meeting deadlines in remote work settings.
