Job Opportunity:

Seeking a highly skilled Unix Engineer to drive containerization initiatives in a regulated banking environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of Unix-based platforms.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage, configure, and optimize Unix/Linux environments (RHEL, AIX, or Solaris)
  • Perform patching, upgrades, and performance tuning across production and non-production systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-level incidents with minimal downtime
  • Container Platform Expertise:
  • Deploy, manage, and support Red Hat OpenShift clusters in on-premises or hybrid environments
  • Build and maintain containerized solutions for critical banking applications
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling of applications using CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration tools
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards in container environments
  • Operational Support:
  • Provide operational support for core banking systems running on Unix/OpenShift platforms
  • Monitor system health, logs, and privileged access in line with compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to minimize operational risk
  • Ensure alignment with ITIL processes (incident, change, and problem management)
  • Security & Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce access control, vulnerability management, and log retention policies
  • Support audits, compliance checks, and reporting for regulatory bodies
  • Contribute to business continuity planning (backup, DR, high availability)
