Job Title: System Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced system specialist to join our team. As a system specialist, you will be responsible for designing solutions, providing consultancy to business, and managing the operations of computer systems related to UNIX and Windows operating systems, servers, virtualization and cloud technologies.

You will work closely with our team to identify and implement new technologies that improve our systems and processes. You will also be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our systems, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from implementing new software solutions to improving our existing infrastructure. You will also have the chance to work with a diverse range of technologies, including Linux, Windows, and cloud-based platforms.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience with at least 2-5 years in managing servers and various OS — including Linux, Windows, and open-source technologies;
  • Knowledge of scripting languages and virtualization technologies;
  • Background in security management, user management, performance tuning, optimization, backup & recovery and networking;
  • Able to follow procedures in a tightly run Change Control system and communicate to peers and upper management;
  • Motivated with a high desire to learn;
  • Results-driven with strong commitment;
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills and comfortable in a culturally diverse working environment;
  • Independent problem-solving skills; self-motivated;
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in SLA pressure situations.
