Global Development Storyteller

We are seeking an editorially-savvy, highly organized individual to support our special coverage team in creating impactful live journalism events, podcasts, and other digital content around critical global convenings.

  • This role involves exhibiting strong editorial judgment, conducting research, identifying innovators and thought leaders, and managing speaker correspondence.
  • You will also provide strategic support, collaborate across teams, and maintain meticulous organization of project timelines and communication.
  • In addition, you will support event coverage, write-ups, and video recaps from event sessions, providing input on what moments are most valuable and interesting for the Devex community.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess strong editorial judgment and a keen sense for what matters to global development audiences.

  • Your interpersonal skills should be top-notch, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • A minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in a journalism, editorial content creation, and/or event management is required.
  • Your writing and editing skills should be top-notch, clear, and concise.
  • You must be excellent at juggling multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in journalism, communications, or a related field is ideal.
